R/C Metals Electronic dba: Freelance Electronics is a certified minority owned disadvantage business.  Unlike the many certified small disadvantaged businesses in the U.S., we are section 8a certified by the Small Business Administration and we are registered in the SBA Pronet directory.  In this directory we have a list of all our references, our SBD registration numbers and certifications.  Large companies that are considered general or prime contacts to the federal government are under federal guidelines to purchase or subcontract a percentage of their services to small disadvantage businesses. 

In the beginning of 2001, in order for the prime contactor to get recognition for their use of small businesses, these small businesses had to be certified and prove to be a small disadvantage business and be corporate sound, in order to serve with the large prime contracts. 

Freelance Electronics is and has proven to be one of the company’s with a proven track record of phenomenal client satisfaction.  We have been SBA & 8a certified since 1998. We are always looking for other prime contactor and/or federal agencies to distribute products and services to.   We are also looking for other small disadvantage business partners in the mentor or prime contracts program through the SBA.  Please see our line card page on this website to see if your company requires use of the products we supply.
